The GRSA Sail Programs team will host two day training sessions of Adult Basic Sailing at GRSA on
Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th.
This class is designed for students who have completed the Basic Adult Class at GRSA within the last year. The class will continue to develop sailing skills focusing on more advanced sailing theories, sail trim/controls, and building confidence on the tiller. The course will continue to be taught on our fleet of Flying Scots and will again be limited to 12 students, so sign up today! The class will again be taught by our adult instructor, Bill Kitchens. Cost is $175.
Requirements include the ability to swim, a well fitting Type III PFD (life jacket) and closed toe shoes. Instruction will be provided by US Sailing certified instructors.
The sessions will run from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Please bring an adventurous spirit, your 'Learn Sailing Right' book, your 'Little Red lunch, snacks, sunscreen, towels, a water bottle and sailing attire for 2 full days of fun on and in the water. The course will be conducted at the GRSA site with classroom instruction in the main pavilion and on the water.
