Pavilion Reservations

Contact Gerri Gallagher at pavilion@grsa.org to request the necessary forms to reserve the Pavilion or if you have any questions.


    Pavilion may not be reserved on Friday through Sunday between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend or on days when club events are scheduled.    The pavilion may be reserved  Monday through Thursdays during this time.  On days Sail Camp or Adult Sailing Lessons are scheduled, set up for evening pavilion events may not begin prior to 6:00 PM.  The pavilion may not be reserved on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.  Reservations must be made through the Pavilion Rental Chairperson a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of the requested date.  There is a maximum limit of 75 guests and all events must end by 10:00PM.  All other GRSA facilities and property, including but not limited to, the restrooms, boat ramps and docks shall remain accessible to all members and their guest in accordance with GRSA site rules.

      2026 GRSA Frostbite Race Series

      1. Rules- The regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing
      2. Open Event- This event is open to non-GRSA Members. 
      3. Entries - Competitors may enter by delivering a completed entry form and paying the $10 entry fee (per race day) to the GRSA Race Committee before 1100 on the day of the regatta.  Any Fleet with three or more boats will be given their own start sequence. This includes a Portsmouth Class. R/C will attempt 3-4 races per day.
      4. Schedule- A Competitors’ meeting will be at 11 AM at the GRSA Pavilion. The warning signal for the first race will be at 12 noon. Any Fleet with three or more boats will be given their own start sequence. R/C will attempt 3-4 races per day. 
      5. Racing Area- The racing area will be in the cove inside of the point on the Swift Creek Reservoir, or as determined by the Race Committee.
      6. Boat Storage -Visiting competitors are invited to store their boats at the club between race days at no charge.

      Greater Richmond Sailing Association is proud to host the 2026 Flying Scot Women’s North American Championship! We’re excited to welcome women sailors from across the country for a weekend of competitive racing, community, and fun on Swift Creek Reservoir.

      Register now for your extra meal packages and Saturday Social tickets! Registration will close on May 22nd; registrations after will be based on availability.

      All Inclusive Meals and Social-$75/weekend

      Includes: Friday Welcome Party and dinner, continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday, lunch Saturday and Sunday, and Saturday Social Hour, dinner, and live music. Beer and wine included throughout. 

      Saturday Social Only-$25/evening

      Includes: Saturday Social Hour, dinner, beer and wine, and live music.

      Saturday Social Only-Kids 12 and under-$10

      Includes: Appetizers during Social Hour, dinner, live music, and assorted non-alcoholic beverages.

      This is only for non-racers! Registration fees cover the skipper and up to two crew for all events listed above. 

      Menus:

      Friday: Welcome Party, assorted appetizers highlighting Virginia (ham biscuits, crab cakes, pimento cheese, oysters) beer and wine, soft drinks. Low Country Shrimp Boil (shrimp, sausage, onions, corn, potatoes with ALL the Old Bay), salad, cornbread, assorted pies for dessert

      Saturday:

      Breakfast: Continental breakfast (bagels, breakfast casserole, yogurt, fruit, muffins) coffee, orange juice

      Lunch: Build your own sandwich bar (assorted bread and wraps, assorted lunch meats and cheeses, spreads, sandwich garnishes), assorted choices of chips, fruit, dessert, and a water/Gatorade/soft drinks

      Dinner: Assorted appetizers for Social Hour, beer and wine, soft drinks. Catered BBQ buffet (pulled pork, brisket, chicken) mac and cheese, hushpuppies, collards, coleslaw, green beans, beer/wine/soft drinks, assorted dessert options

      Sunday: 

      Breakfast: Continental breakfast (bagels, breakfast casserole, yogurt, fruit, muffins) coffee, orange juice

      Lunch: Raising Cane's chicken
