Greetings Fellow Sailors!
I have a 1919 Hughes & Son sextant, serial #9521, that belonged to my great, great, grandfather who was a sea captain sailing the Atlantic coast back in the day. His father, my great, great, great grandfather was a shipbuilder and he sailed 3-masted schooners built by him. I have carried this sextant with me all these long years but unfortunately my children are not interested in keeping it once I pass. So, I thought I would put it up for sale to someone who may appreciate it. It is brass & bronze, has original eye pieces and certificate of inspection. Housed in a mahogany dove tailed case. Online values are coming up between $500-$800, and I will accept any reasonable offer. Feel free to email me or give me a call if you have any interest, or if you know someone who might. I have included pictures.
Happy Sailing!
