The GRSA Sail Programs team will host two day training sessions of Adult Basic and Intermediate Sailing at GRSA during the 2015 season. Instruction will include sailing theory, crewed boat handling, capsize recovery and introduction to racing. Each session is limited to 12 students. Boats (C420) will be provided. Requirements include the ability to swim, a well fitting Type III PFD (life jacket) and closed toe shoes. Participants will be required to complete a short swim test of approximately 150 feet without a PFD. Instruction will be provided by US Sailing certified instructors.

The sessions will run from 8:30am to 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Please bring an adventurous spirit, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, towels, a water bottle and sailing attire for 2 full days of fun on and in the water. The course will be conducted at the GRSA site with classroom instruction in the main pavilion and on the water instruction.

Cost per session:

Members - $50

Non-Members - $75
